Fin Eye (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides tools that organize publicly available financial-creator content, analyze opinions, associate market data, and support research. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit, register for, or use the service.
1. Controller and contact
The Fin Eye service operator controls and operates this service. We do not currently appoint a separate data protection officer. To request access, correction, deletion, or exercise another privacy right, use the Submit a request page and identify the request as a “privacy request”. We normally respond within 30 calendar days. Do not include passwords, verification codes, card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
2. Information we collect
- Account and authentication data: email address, display name, securely hashed password, and, when you choose Google sign-in, authorized basic Google profile data such as email, name, and avatar.
- Subscription and payment metadata: order ID, plan, amount, currency, payment status, and completion time. Full card or payment credentials are handled by the relevant payment provider and are not stored on Fin Eye servers.
- Notifications and preferences: followed creators, digest language and settings, in-product notifications, and email-delivery status.
- Service and security logs: session identifiers, request timing, necessary IP/browser/device technical data, error logs, and security-audit records.
- Product use and feedback: creator requests, product suggestions, issue descriptions, and necessary support correspondence.
We also process public creator content, transcripts, posts, avatars, prices, and corporate data from public internet sources for research features. We do not request or intentionally collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
3. How we use information
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Account creation, authentication, research features, and creator digests | Performance of a contract |
| Subscriptions, payment status, and essential service notices | Contract and legal obligation |
| Fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and fault diagnosis | Legitimate interests |
| Product improvement and aggregated or de-identified analytics | Legitimate interests |
| Regulatory, tax, dispute, and other legal obligations | Legal obligation |
We do not sell personal information and do not use sensitive personal information for targeted advertising or automated legal, employment, credit, or similarly significant decisions.
4. Cookies and similar technology
We use strictly necessary session cookies for sign-in and request-forgery protection, and local storage for functional preferences such as language. Disabling cookies can prevent sign-in and personalization. The service does not currently deploy third-party advertising cookies. If we introduce non-essential analytics or marketing technology, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.
5. Sharing and international transfers
We share data only as needed to provide the service with bound providers for cloud hosting and operations, email delivery, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and payment processing, including Waffo Pancake or Alipay where applicable. Payment-card data is independently handled by the payment provider and does not pass through or reside in our application database. We may also disclose necessary information where required by law, to protect people or service security, or in a corporate transaction.
Infrastructure and suppliers may be located outside your jurisdiction. For cross-border transfers, we use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards required by applicable law and transfer only necessary data to recipients providing appropriate protection.
6. Security and retention
We use HTTPS/TLS, password hashing, least-privilege access, session protections, server access controls, backups, and audit logging. No internet service is absolutely secure. If a security incident is likely to materially affect you, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Accounts, sessions, and preferences | For the account lifetime; deleted or anonymized after a verified deletion request, except the minimum needed for legal, security, or dispute purposes. |
| Payments and orders | For the period required for accounting, tax, anti-fraud, and dispute obligations. |
| Security, error, and audit logs | Only for security operations, diagnostics, and compliance needs, then periodically deleted or anonymized. |
| Public creator content and research data | While the source remains available and the research purpose continues, subject to deletion and rights requests. |
7. Your rights and choices
Where applicable law provides them, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of personal information, and withdraw a consent-based choice. You can sign out, change creator-digest preferences, or submit a request through Submit a request. We may verify identity and explain any lawful limitation. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. Children
The service is intended for people aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us through the channel above so that we can take appropriate action after verification.
9. Third-party links and changes
The service may link to YouTube, X, Google, payment providers, and other third-party sites, which have their own terms and privacy practices. We may update this policy. For material changes, we will provide advance notice through the service or your registered email where reasonably practicable and update the date above. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
